It'd be nice if it automatically booted someone out but I doubt it.

I'm kinda wondering what will happen if one of my sims has a baby. Also if you want a sim friend to move in as a controllable sim or roommate or whatever you have to boot someone out. At one point one of the NPC roommates accidently even got added to the group of my sims I was controlling, so I ended up kicking him out. (I like seeing them coming and going) Also you see whats going on inside the NPCs apartments as well, not entirely a fan of that myself but some might be. Plus the NPCs seem to stand around outside their apartments alot and complain of being hungry and I think I have only seen ONE of the sims leave the lot at all. The apartment system seems kinda weird to me though, I dont see why we HAVE to share the space with other npcs and it HAS to equal up to 8 counting our own sims. Also there aren't any special doors so you have to "lock" the doors ( you get to choose who is allowed through a door and who is not) and of course it helps to designate a bed to particular sims (you can choose a bed for the npcs too). you use regular doors etc but say you have 2 sims that you are controlling the lot will move in 6 npcs so you have to make sure theres enough beds. I'm sorry if this causes any confusion for anyone, but I have added notes to indicate if a lot came from an expansion, and that the lot is empty otherwise. You can put apartments in the regular world although they don't really act like the ones from the sims 2. I may go back and add them to the lists of empty lots eventually as well, but that would happen after I finish listing lots for all of the neighborhoods. I decided to list them as the expansion lot that was placed there rather than as empty lots. Side Note: It was tricky to decide what to do about lots added to previous worlds by The Sims 3 team as new expansions come out. That is why I've included the "Occupied by:" information. A lot of times I also want to put the original families that owned the lots into those houses, but if there are a lot of houses it can be hard to remember which family went with which lot.

Sometimes I will use an entire row of The Sims 3 residential homes from one of their neighborhoods/worlds in a custom world of my own.
